About Me

Usama is a seventeen years old soul dwelling inside a lean and growing body. He lives and socializes among Lahore and Lahoris respectively, but he originally belongs to Wallah, a village situated in the vicinity of Sargodha. An ambitious, yet barely prolific or prodigious writer, an ardent reader, a Gunner, a fervent movie geek,Β guitar player, debator, poet of non-epic proportions, amateur photographer and a fervid Bob Dylan listener experiencing occasional ear orgasms due to his and his kind’s music, Usama finds time to pen down musings about these all and more.

And this blog happens to be host and home to all this madness and nugatory bunk.

  2. Dude, what are you … 15?

  3. that guess’s a near one. πŸ™‚ But that doesn’t I’m a kid not worth reading. Actually I’m fourteen, and still growing πŸ˜‰
PS. Do ya like my blog? do keep visitin please. thanks.

  4. Ahh. that explains a lot. for a fourteen year old kid, you’re doing a good job. keep writing.

  5. oh, that’s a compliment! thanks for the appreciation and you know what? My Eng teacher gave me the name of “Shakespeare of LACAS”(my school). I’m not showing off here. Maybe one day I’ll get a lot of traffic too… 😦

  6. Don’t blog for traffic, Usama. Write for yourself.

  7. That’s what I’m doing. But traffic is something a blogger likes. That doesn’t mean I blog for traffic. You can get traffic by writing about yourself too and your blog is a pretty good example…

  8. I’ve been blogging for over 5 years, Usama (though archives don’t show because I deleted my past blog that held archives from over 3 years) and a lot of people who get hooked on to reading a particular writer is because they’re used to reading him/her for a period of time. And I’m pretty sure that once you spend enough time in blogland you’ll have enough regulars and you’ll begin to get traffic which, yes, is what bloggers do like.

In my case, I like traffic that READS my blog, that has something to say, that makes my writing something important to them. I often get traffic due to very strange google searches like abaya designs and pakistani mehndi bride designer clothes and the like. Which is of course pointless readership.

So keep writing, keep being honest, stay away from being pretentious just to get traffic (lot of bloggers end up doing that – esp Paki ones) and you’re good to go. πŸ™‚

    All the best.

  9. Hmm. I think I’m gonna stick to a very me-centred blog here. And surely I’m going to stay in this blogland for a long time because writing is my passion and I don’t get to write for anything accept this blog or some children’s mag. And whenever I’m posting something, I always focus on one thing, that’s my honesty. I’m always thinking that I’ve to be honest here on this blog so that whenever I happen to read my older posts, I will realise I was speaking the truth and I wouldn’t be like ” no that didn’t happen? or did it…?” You don’t speak lies in a diary and that’s the exact word I’ve used for this blog.

Aur haan I confess kai mein nain bahut haath paun marai hain to make my blog get more traffic but I guess getting regular readers can’t be done by just submitting blog to directories πŸ˜€ . that’s what I used to do before I found these (what should I call it?) Pakistani bloggers through your blogroll and then others and so on.

So I’ll just keep posting more frequently and ask other bloggers to read my blog and evntually I’ll become old in this business and maybe the idiom “old is gold” ‘s gonna work here…

  10. Anyways, you read the quote by PG I placed in the sidebar? if not then do read and do tell me if ya likem…

  11. All the very best then.

Yeah, I liked the quote but I happen to like Oscar Wilde more. πŸ™‚

  12. How can you like Plum if you haven’t read him? You read any one of the 96 novels by him and you’ll love his world…

PS. PG wins. He wrote abt 96 Wilde wrote what 95?

  16. BMK

3/4 clicks a day from my end, from now onwards. πŸ™‚

  17. A bit wide off the mark a query: How do you place those little buttons in that particular fashion, i Mean, placed parallel to each other, I can’t..

  18. Are you asking about the Buttons of different directories? If yes then what I did was copy paste their button urls and then a lot of editing like giving spaces between different buttons’ urls and checkin how it looks and thee doin it again.
PS. Pardon me if I make li’l sense πŸ™‚

  19. Yeah it does. I’ll try.

    Thanks brother πŸ™‚
